Welcome to School Bus Services

School Bus Services endeavours to process Transport Assistance Applications within 10 business days. During peak periods, particularly over the Christmas school holidays, you may experience delays.

Please refer to our FAQ sheet to get answers to your questions straight away. If you need further support please get in touch. We appreciate your patience while we process your application to avoid further delays. School Bus staff will be in contact with you regarding the outcome of your application by mid-January 2022.

Please note:

  • If your child is changing schools or residential address in 2022, a new application should be submitted.
  • If you have an additional child that wishes to access the bus in 2022, this will also require a new application.

Applications for 2022 should be submitted by Monday, 22 November 2021 or as soon as possible, prior to the commencement of Term 1 2022.

A change is coming to how we handle passwords

The School Bus Service (SBS) website is undergoing improvements relating to how contractors manage their passwords. These changes are designed to increase the security of your contractor password and ensure access to your contract information is secure.  


What’s changing?
We are moving to a self-service password management system which means you will have control of your password. You will be able to change your own password, reset your password if you forget it and set your own security questions and answers (we call this Self-Service User Registration). It is optional to set up security questions and answers but this process helps to establish your identity and adds an additional layer of security to your account.   

When is this happening? 
All contactors will need to reset their password the first time they login to the SBS Contractor Portal (website) after the 8 April 2021. If you forget your password, you will be able to reset it through the SBS website. Passwords expire after 90 days at which time you will need to set a new password.      

How do I set up my new password? 
When you login to the contractor portal on the SBS website after the 8 April 2021 you will be promoted to change your password. Follow the instructions onscreen to complete this process. We will send out a User Guide closer to the date to assist you with these steps.

These changes will come into effect during the school holidays and we encourage you to set up your new password before the start of term two. In the meantime, if you have any questions please contact your Contract Officer.
